I Can’t Believe Superman & Lois Managed To Tie Up 10 Major Storylines In 20 Minutes
Warning: This article contains SPOILERS for Superman & Lois season 4, episode 10.The Superman & Lois series finale was a fantastic ending to one of DC"s most emotional series, and I was amazed by how many storylines it managed to resolve in such a short amount of time. I am sad that Superman & Lois is over, but I"m glad about the time that we got to spend with Tyler Hoechlin"s Clark Kent, Elizabeth Tulloch"s Lois Lane, and the rest of the cast. Superman & Lois season 4"s characters all got a fitting ending in the show"s final episode, even if some were sadder than others.
If there is one thing that I love about the Superman & Lois series finale, it"s that it is not open-ended. The live-action DC show chose to give a satisfying ending to all of its core characters, leaving little up to the imagination about what could happen in their futures. While I don"t think that completely rules out a possible spinoff in the future, such as a series following Jonathan and Jordan as Superboys or Supermen with Tyler Hoechlin"s Clark Kent appearing in the Fortress of Solitude, I love that all characters" endings were treated with care.
Superman & Lois' Finale Is Split Between The Show's Final Fights & Showing Everyone's Endings Lex Luthor Is The Series' Final Villain Close I was surprised to see how the Superman & Lois series finale was so clearly divided into two parts. The first half of the episode focuses on resolving the final season"s villain storylines. I thought both had somewhat fitting endings. Doomsday"s was the best, as it made for some nice action, let John Henry Irons help — even without his suit — by coming up with a new plan, and ultimately saw the part of Bizarro within Doomsday remember his life. After that, Doomsday"s sacrifice was a fitting and heartbreaking moment that completed his long arc in the series perfectly.
