Harley Quinn season 5, episode 3 sees Poison Ivy truly facing her traumatic past with help from Harley. Although Ivy believed she"d killed her ex Jason Woodrue in the previous episode, this new chapter reveals a much darker fate, one that immediately comes back to haunt her. Furthermore, the end of the episode sees the iconic Gotham duo facing a much bigger problem than the newly created Floronic Man.
Having been teased at the end of Harley Quinn season 5, episode 2, Jason Woodrue has become The Floronic Man just as he does in the original DC comics, becoming a plant-human hybrid not unlike Ivy herself. Harley Season 5 Episode 3 Ending Explained: How Harley And Poison Ivy Killed Woodrue Fighting Inside The Green and Physically Close Initially thinking that the Woodrue was just in her head, Poison Ivy tried entering The Green to re-center herself and clear her mind. However, the new Floronic Man was waiting for her in the elemental realm. Confirming that all he wants to do is kill her, Woodrue and Poison Ivy begin brawling in The Green, but Ivy is quickly overpowered with her physical body being threatened by the nearby plants under the Floronic Man"s control. Finding Ivy still in a trance and about to be killed by lethal plants, Harley calls Frank who enters The Green to help Ivy and keep Woodrue distracted.
