MCU Phase 5 Movies Are Only Making The Multiverse Saga"s Problem Worse
The confirmed movies set for the Marvel Cinematic Universe's Phase 5 are only going to seemingly further a complaint about the Multiverse Saga and Phase 4. After the culmination of the Infinity Saga with Avengers: Endgame and Spider-Man: Far From Home, many were curious about what the MCU would begin building towards next. With many legacy characters moving on, making way for lesser-known, new characters to be introduced in Phase 4, the question remained until the San Diego Comic-Con of 2022.
At Marvel Studios' Hall-H panel at SDCC 2022, Kevin Feige took to the stage to announce the next big event of the MCU: the Multiverse Saga. Following on from the Infinity Saga, it was revealed that the MCU's Phases 4, 5, and 6 would center on the ever-expanding concept of the multiverse, with Kang the Conqueror serving as the Thanos-like main antagonist. That being said, the criticisms of Phase 4 remained, with the confirmed movies for Phase 5 announced at SDCC 2022 showing no sign of changing opinions on the Multiverse Saga's biggest issue to date.
